Showing Support for Charter 284

Glovers Project Services is pleased to show it support for Charter 284 unveiled in today's Building magazine and has signed up to the campaign on Building's website.

Many people who aren't involved in the industry don't realise the contribution construction makes to the economy of the UK and we hope that this campaign will help raise awareness amongst both the policy makers and the wider public.

Charter 284 hopes to encourage the next government to:

1. Complete the renewal of the school estate 
2. Don't let spending on transport infrastructure fall more than 10 below current levels 
3. Reduce the regulatory burden on the housing sector to encourage more development 
4. Give householders incentives to green existing homes 
5. Prioritise the development of renewable energy, including nuclear, through incentives for private sector investment.

Let's hope the collective voice of the industry will be heard.
